Unity Club Mission:

•  To provide a meeting place for members of Alcoholics Anonymous and other Twelve Step recovery programs.

•  To offer a secure, supportive environment between meetings, creating a sense of sanctuary for the newly recovering alcoholic.

•  To offer a loving, accepting atmosphere where fellow alcoholics serve as a “surrogate family” for the isolated and lonely alcoholic.

•  To operate a meeting place where leaders, visitors, members, trusted servants and administrators are governed in the spirit of the Twelve Steps and Traditions of alcoholics Anonymous.

•  To operate as a non-profit and non-stock corporation in conformity with the laws and regulations of the US Internal Revenue Service and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Unity's Service to the Community:

The Unity Club is self-supporting through the contributions of its members, supporters, and meeting participants. The Club operates without any federal, state or local government funding.

The Unity Club participates with Falls Church and surrounding areas substance abuse treatment centers by providing a reliable facility to introduce patients and clients to the long-term sobriety techniques that are embodied in the Twelve-Step program.

History:

The Unity Club was established and incorporated in 1986 to provide a meeting place for members of Alcoholic Anonymous and other Twelve-Step Recovery Programs.

Hence the Unity club was established offering meetings from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm daily. The club provides the newly recovering alcoholic a safe, comfortable,sanctuary while offering the more established AA members the convenience to fit meetings into his or her busy schedule.
